
Ryan Carney , owner of Carney farming was born in Zimbabwe, after completing a diploma in Aquaculture at Sparsholt in the mid 1990s Ryan returned to Zimbabwe and moved into Agriculture where he spent many years setting up horticulture farms in remote and challenging conditions through out Africa.
Ryan has traveled extensively through Africa and the Middle East. Ryan then regained his passion for aquaculture and set up a Clarias farm in South Africa, which produces fresh fish, fillets, various forms of dried fish, and Value added products such as fish Sausage, burger patties and Pate .

Our Experience
Carney Farming was recently contracted to design and install a 250 tone per year recirculating Clarias farm in Ghana. This farm includes a hatchery, grow out section, processing plant and is primarily run by solar.
Other projects include design and supply of recirculating tilapia farms in South Africa.
Upgrading of a pond based tilapia farm in Zambia Remote problem solving for hatcheries in Ghana and Malawi.

Carney farming works with a network of experienced professionals to supply equipment, design farms and expansions, and if necessary, manage the building process.
